About the Event
Welcome to the Ewshot Village Show! This is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together for a day of fun, laughter, and friendly competition.
This year without a VE day or Jubillee to celebrate we have some elements that give a nod to the vibrant 1980s, expect some retro flair, classic tunes, and perhaps a few themed surprises throughout the day. Whether you’re entering your prized marrows, showcasing your Victoria sponge, feeling competitive to try your luck at the games or simply coming to enjoy the atmosphere with your neighbours and community, the Village Show is the highlight of our summer calendar.
Running Order (roughly!)
- 6:30 PM – Ground opens and bar
- 7:30 – 8:00 PM – Food available
- 8:30 PM – Band Set 1
- 9:45 PM – Band Set 2
Food & Drink
We encourage everyone to bring their own chairs, picnic blankets, and seating to make yourselves comfortable on the green.
There will be seating available inside the Tea and Bar tents
Spikes Bar
Fully stocked bar serving a variety of refreshing beverages throughout the day.
Food
There will be a couple of food vendors serving freshly made pizzas and more and the tea tent will have cakes for afternoon tea.
- Hot food and snacks will be available.
- Norman’s Ice Cream Van will also be back again this year serving delicious refreshing ice creams and ice lollies.

Adult Categories
1) Flower arrangement or vase of flowers
2) Craft, drawing, painting etc - with a Ewshot theme
3) Home made cake - bigger is better!!
4) Home grown fruit or vegetable
5) Home made Hot Sauce - how spicy will you dare!
6) Home made Shortbread (x 3pieces)
7) Home made Mini Savories - (x 3 pieces) - e.g. pinwheels, etc - bit sized
Youth Categories
1) Home made biscuits - any variety - think adventurous
2) Home made cupcakes - how good are your piping skills??
3) Craft, drawing, painting etc.- with a Ewshot theme
Kids Categories
1) Decorated Biscuits / Cookies - how much glitter can you fit!
2) Craft, drawing, painting. Lego etc.- bring out the artist in you
3) Ugly Bug - create a creature - small enough to hold in your hand - made from things found in your garden and around the house
Open Categories
1) Garden on a Plate - not been featured for quite some years - but using a paper plate create a minature garden from your garden!!!
2) Photography - bring your best photo depicting the village - be they animal, vegetable or mineral !!

3) Dress up like your owner (80's Theme)

Games & Races
Sign up for all games and races on arrival or during the early part of the show – just go to the “Games” board or find one of the coordinators (with a Games T-shirt on). Don’t miss out on the fun! – watch out for a suprise race or two
